About me
I am a cognitive scientist and former lawyer who helps people learn and reason more effectively. I think we can learn a lot when we think together.
The Keep Learning Community
I manage an online learning community where students, teachers, and life-long learners work together to understand learning more deeply, study and practice more effectively, and craft meaningful long-term learning experiences. If you're interested in joining, you can read more about it here.
On Youtube
I post videos on my Youtube channel every other Wednesday morning (with occasional exceptions). Topics include effective learning and teaching strategies, myths about learning, insights into reasoning and problem solving, advice on research methods, discussions of scientific thinking, and cognitive biases.
Avoiding Folly
I periodically send out an email newsletter, which is completely free. Among other things, it's about the mistakes that we make when we try to transform knowledge into action – and how we can avoid them. Sign up here.
